Micro-chipping

As of 6th April 2016 Micro-chipping laws in England and Wales are changing. At this point it will be a legal requirement for all dogs aged 8 weeks and over to have a chip implanted.

Breeders will be responsible for the micro-chipping of all puppies. If you are planning to buy a puppy, check it has an identification chip implanted before you take it home. This will help you know that you are buying from a trusted breeder and not falling victim to the rising number of puppy farms in the UK.

If you already own a dog that doesn't have a chip we'd recommend getting it done asap, the law changed on 6th April 2016.
